Los Martires
Los Martires is Bogota’s 14th location; it is in the center of the city. This city is called
Los Martires because in the colony time, when Colombia was in the independence process, in a park of that zone where killed some of the independence leaders.

This Location is totally urbanized except for some parks and rivers that are in there. This location is interesting because of its historical and cultural importance, all around de location there are several mo
numents from the XX century this is because in the past that place used to be like the “real” city, where everything took place.
This location is also culturally important because of its plenty of museums like, museo exposición el hombre, Museo cementerio Central, Museo de museos Colsubsidio, Museo de la sociedad de Cirugía. It has also parks like Parque Eduardo Santos, Parque de los Mártires, Parque Santa Isabel, Parque el Verge. There are also some religious points like the Iglesia de Nuestra señora de las Lajas, Iglesia de Nuestra señora de la Consolata and, Iglesia Santa Teresita del niño Jesús. There is also the cementery where the important characters of Bogota’s history remain. There are also some important hospitals like the San Jose’s Hospital. There are also many schools and plazas.
